Keynote Speaker Spotlight: Dr. Richard Greenlee

The OHIO Lancaster community is invited to join our colleagues at Ohio University Zanesville for the Appalachian Stories of Resilience & Recovery Summit on Thursday, Sept. 3.

The summit will feature Dr. Richard Greenlee, dean emeritus of Ohio University Eastern, presenting the keynote, “Pickin' Walnuts: A Story of Hardship, Hope & Healing.”

The free event will bring together voices from across Appalachian Ohio for a day centered on stories of strength, perseverance, recovery and hope, including a panel featuring individuals with lived experience.

Stories of hardship. Stories of hope. Stories of healing.

On Sept. 3, OHIO Zanesville will host the Appalachian Stories of Resilience & Recovery Summit, bringing together voices from across Appalachian Ohio to share experiences of strength, perseverance and recovery.

The summit will feature a panel of individuals with lived experience and a keynote from Dr. Richard Greenlee, dean emeritus of Ohio University Eastern, titled “Pickin' Walnuts: A Story of Hardship, Hope & Healing.”

The event is FREE and open to the public, with both in-person and virtual attendance options available.
