When Champ isn’t spending time with students or guests on campus, he loves getting out into the community at College-related events!

Over the weekend, Champ and the Esports Club joined The Mix for an end-of-summer bash for middle and high school students. 👾

While the Esports Club hosted a Super Smash Bros. tournament and raced laps in Mario Kart, Champ was busy high-fiving students and posing for plenty of pictures.

Creating access to education means being part of the communities we serve. We’re proud to connect with our neighbors and open doors to opportunity.

What does it take to turn a blueprint into the infrastructure that keeps our communities thriving?

At Thaddeus Stevens College, Civil Engineering Construction Technology students prepare for careers in infrastructure construction, including highways, roads, and bridges. Through career-focused education, students develop the technical knowledge and skills needed to work in the industry, from the uses of building materials and underground utilities to horizontal site development.

The result is an education designed to build new roads to opportunity in an industry where skilled professionals are in high demand. 🦺

Yesterday, we hosted the annual Thaddeus Stevens Alumni Association’s Stevens Scramble. ⛳️

The event brought industry partners and alumni together on the green, with proceeds benefiting the Alumni Association to support scholarships and programming for students and alumni.

We’re grateful to everyone who joined us, helping make this year’s event a success. The Stevens Scramble allows us to strengthen the relationships that support our students, particularly for those who have historically faced barriers to accessing education and family-thriving careers.

Thank you to everyone who continues to invest in the Bulldog community and the future of Thaddeus Stevens College!

One of the ways expands access to education is by connecting students with opportunities to gain experience in their field while enrolled.

Rising second-year Electro Mechanical Technology student, Tyler Shunk, spent his summer working as an Electrical Mechanical Engineering worker at Brentwood. By working in his field, Tyler’s gained firsthand insight into the manufacturing process. 🦾

Learn how Tyler is using his summer experience to prepare for his second year at Thaddeus Stevens College at the link in the comments.
