🐾 What have our Dallas College Vet Tech students been up to this week?

Our first-year students practiced canine and feline restraint and discovered that collecting a free-catch urine sample requires teamwork, perfect timing, and the willingness to stand in a very questionable location with a cup. 😂💧

Meanwhile, our second-year students officially entered their IV catheter era. Steady hands, deep breaths, and plenty of practice as they move one step closer to a busy semester of assisting with surgeries! 💉😅

Dante, our Chief Sploot Officer, would also like everyone to have a splooting good weekend! This handsome boy is currently available for adoption and is ready to bring expert-level sploots, big smiles, and plenty of personality to his future family. 🐶❤️

🎉 That’s a wrap on Week 1!

Our first-year Veterinary Technology students are already immersed in Anatomy and Physiology, building the foundation they will use throughout the program. Meanwhile, our second-year students are gearing up for an exciting semester of surgery and anesthesia! 🩺🐾

It is going to be a busy semester filled with learning, hands-on practice, and plenty of growth. We cannot wait to see what these future veterinary technicians accomplish!

Minimum Qualifications:

Graduate from an AVMA-accredited school with one of the following degrees: Associate degree or higher in Veterinary Technology, Doctor of Veterinary Medicine, and Licensed in the State of Texas as an LVT or DVM.

Minimum of three years non-teaching, work-related experience, or experience as an instructor in veterinary technology, or a combination of both, within the past five years.

Official transcript will be required.

Bilingual or multilingual preferred.​
