Good ! 🌞🌈

This week's map, from 1899, is a rough, hand-drawn rendering of Medicine Wheel, Fortunatus, the city of the broken heart, and a few rivers and roads in northeast, northcentral Wyoming. The Medicine wheel is a circular alignment of limestone boulders about 80 feet in diameter, and for hundreds of years it has held spiritual significance for Native Americans who still perform religious ceremonies there. There are many more medicine wheels in America and Canada but Bighorn Medicine Wheel is best preserved, having transformed public land management in Wyoming. 🐿

Welcome back to another !

Today, we have some images from the 1967 WYO Yearbook 🤠📒. This academic year, White Hall was being built to expand the campus🏫. White Hall was named after Laura A. White and is a twelve-story building that houses up to 587 residents🏢. Construction workers took personal advantage of the warm fall 🍂🍁weather that year and finished later than anticipated. As you may know, we are building new dorms more than 50 years later⏱! What do you think the new residence halls will be named?

Stop by Special Collections today to see this yearbook and more!
