UWYO's Western Thunder Marching Band has spent the past few days serenading Ireland!

WESTERN THUNDER: Members of the University of Wyoming marching band have been enjoying an international adventure in Ireland over the last week. The band has performed in Dublin, toured Blarney Castle and explored many towns while sharing the unique genre of American marching band music.

With grandparents who spent 10 years sailing their yacht around the world, nursing student Brooke Weiss of Parker, Colo., developed a wanderlust early in life. In the summer of 2014, her love of nursing and travel joined forces for a summer-long internship in Ghana.

Professionals across Wyoming may be interested in this - the newest addition to the Fulbright Scholar program, the Global Flex Award! Professionals can engage in collaborative research or combine teaching and research activities in their area of specialization in 2-3 countries. You determine the percentage of the grant dedicated to each activity, and the activities can be conducted in the same academic year or over the course of 2-3 consecutive years.
