Our UW NAERCC Fall Kick Off was filled with good food, laughter, conversations, and resources. It was so exciting to see so many familiar faces back at the Center, but we especially loved welcoming all of the new faces joining our NAERCC family this year! 🤎💛

We were also grateful to have University of Wyoming President Shane Reeves take time out of his busy schedule to join us. President Reeves introduced himself to our students, shared some encouraging words as they begin the semester, and stayed to share a meal and have conversation with our students.

A huge thank you to Reinette & Mary, our Interns and current students who helped set up and organize this big event. We appreciate VP Nycole Courtney, Dean of Students Tyler Crisman, and all of our campus partners and collaborators who came out and joined us. We appreciate the continued support you provide to our UW students and the UW Native Students.🤠🤎💛🤎💛

Today was officially the last day of Saddle Up for our freshman babies! 🥹🤎💛

Throughout the week, we’ve had the chance to meet them, get to know them a little better, and welcome them into our NAERCC fam bam. We’re so excited to watch them begin their first semester at UW and to support them throughout all the semesters! 🫶🏽

(Not all of our freshmen were included in today’s pictures because they were all busy with their Poke Packs and making new friends!😄)

And the welcoming isn’t over yet! 🎉

We have our Fall Kick-Off this Sunday, August 30th at 3:00 PM at the NAERCC! Come hang out, meet new and returning students, grab some food, and kick off the new school year with us!

We can’t wait to see everyone! 🤎💛

It has been a busy couple weeks here in the NAERCC‼️

But in those busy weeks, something great came out of it:) We had invited a special guest; Sunny Goggles, Director of the White Buffalo Recovery, to come and teach our professional staff and train our NASI/SAGE Peer Mentors and partners Cowboy Coaches in Understanding Historical Resilience and Cultural Healing when working with our Native students!

We are beyond grateful for the information and teachings Sunny had shared with our team!😄
