Concluding remarks

08/08/2023

Congratulations to Sydney Schmidt (MA '24) for being selected as a participant of the 2023 MLA Public Humanities Incubator Program. Sydney is one of twelve graduate students in the country who will be working under the supervision of top Public Humanists to develop her project before traveling to Philadelphia to present at a special session of the Modern Language Association Annual Convention in January.

Sydney's project, under the supervision of Associate Professor of English Arielle Zibrak, is to redesign and further develop the public-facing aspects of the digital archive of the work of Rebecca Harding Davis, a prolific nineteenth-century American author and activist.

The Rebecca Harding Davis Archive site is hosted by UW English, and will remain a robust part of our Public Humanities Program for many years to come.
