What is the EXCELLENCE ARTIST RESIDENCY at the University of Wyoming Department of Theatre and Dance? 🎭💃
This residency supports visiting creative artists, writers, and scholars from across disciplines to develop and present groundbreaking new work in partnership with the University of Wyoming. Designed to bring creatives of the highest caliber to UW's campus, recipients receive up to $150,000 in funding to sustain this work throughout the academic year.
As part of the residency, visiting artists will engage with students, UW campus and the broader Laramie/Sheridan communities through workshops, activities, community outreach and ultimately a public sharing of the original work. Artists are also invited to utilize the Neltje Center for Excellence in Creativity and the Arts () as a retreat to develop their work during the residency period.
It is this generous funding, along with the support of the Neltje Center and our Theatre and Dance faculty and staff, that allow us to bring OddKnock Productions () to campus in 2026-2027! Stay tuned to hear more about the residency activities and how UW students can get involved!
