Greetings!

Here’s a recent update on what we’ve been up to. We had our first meeting of the semester talking about upcoming events and activities. Also, we have a team of Native students in Intramural basketball that are currently 2-0! They’re called The Aunties 😎. Some students attending the Love on The Brain Trivia ✨ an event hosted by Multicultural Affairs for Black History Month. The team for trivia came in first place! Congrats to the team and they were rewarded hydro flasks!

Keep an eye out for more updates!

Hello All!

Giving Day is upon us, please donate to the native American education, research, and cultural center. This center is the epicenter for our native community here at the University of Wyoming. The NAERCC provides a place of community of support and engagement for our students, all while assisting them to maintain their cultural identity while at college. Relationships are built, and main teams through the support that the center provides. Please think about donating to the center, so the center can keep providing the support that the students need, and for the relationships and connections to keep continuing for our students. Click the link to donate from Noon today till Noon tomorrow (Oct. 19- Oct. 20).

It’s Giving Tuesday NOW at the University of Wyoming! 🎉😊 the link launches RIGHT NOW!!

Please consider donating to our UW Native American Education, Research, and Cultural Center, which provides a sense of community & a place for our Native students as they navigate their way through college here at UW. It has a study area, computer lab, kitchen and a classroom where classes and the Native student group meetings (Keepers of The Fire) are held. It also houses the Native American & Indigenous Studies Program, the Native American Program Advisor (student support services), and High Plains American Indian Research Institute (HPAIRI).

You can also donate to the UW Native American Summer Institute, which is a pre-college summer experience for Native American High School students. The program exposes Native High School students to campus and offers a variety of activities and cultural events.

You can also give to our Native American Program (NAP), the NAP assists in recruitment and retention of Native students at UWyo by providing programming, community building, leadership development opportunities, tutoring, and one-on-one support from the Native American Program Advisor.

The Native American & Indigenous Studies department also has a donation box, this will help with all aspects of academic and student studies, the NAIS includes an undergraduate minor and major degree, as well as a graduate student minor.

No donation is small, we appreciate every dollar donated! Thank you so much!

Greetings Keepers!

It has been a whirlwind of activity these last few weeks. Our members volunteered during the Big Event as a group to give back to Laramie! We demonstrated on campus for Indigenous People's day! We listened to New York Times best selling author Theresa Mailhot. During homecoming we decorated our float and entered the parade! Using relationships we built over time we hurriedly threw things together in the only way we know how to pull off. We did all this and more together! So we would like to thank everyone that helped and supported us along the way.
Thank you to our members for showing up and working in the cold.
To the NAERCC for its support and supplies we couldn't have done this you!
To NAIS and their staff for providing us with enriching intellectual experiences!

Thank You All and We Look Forward to What the Future Holds!
