Join us TOMORROW (Feb. 27th) for a FREE screening and discussion of the 2017 National Geographic and RadicalMedia documentary film, From the Ashes, at 7:00 pm at the UW Berry Biodiversity Auditorium, 9th and Lewis St., in Laramie

Look for our UW ENR club table at the event, where members of the club will be able to provide any information and answer questions about ENR club, we are always looking for new faces!

From the Ashes features Americans in communities from across the United States as they wrestle with the legacy of the coal industry, and what the future of that industry should be. From Wyoming's Powder River Basin to Appalachia, the film goes beyond the rhetoric of the “war on coal” to present compelling and often-heartbreaking stories about what is at stake for our economy, health, and climate. The film invites audiences to learn more about an industry on the edge and what it means for their lives.

Meet our president, Mary Grace Bedwell! Mary Grace is a double major in Geology and Spanish. Mary Grace is from Summerdale Alabama, and came to Wyoming because she knew it was a place she could call home after moving from Alabama. She needed a place with great people, programs, and escapes, and she has found that here. Her favorite place to go hiking is Sheep Mountain in Medicine Bow National Forest, and she loves the ENR Club because "I love being able not only to learn about environmentally conscious practices in my own life, but also to be able to spread them across both campus and the community"
