WIHR will host ‘Humanities for AI,’ a session as part of the University of Wyoming Science Institute’s Annual Research Symposium. The Symposium will take place at the Marian H. Rochelle Gateway Center.

This is a gathering of scholars, practitioners, and visionaries united by a singular purpose: advancing discovery. The Science Institute Research Centers and visiting speakers will discuss how developing technology and research is addressing the unique challenges and opportunities in Wyoming and beyond.

⚠️ TOMORROW⚠️ Historian and podcaster will deliver the 2026 Humanities Summit keynote address, “Turning Worlds Upside Down: Reflections on Public History and Podcasting a Revolution.”

We invite you to join us at Coe Library 506 for a continental breakfast as well as music of the Revolutionary Era, a performance by University of Wyoming Collegiate Chorale.

The many synergies with USA 250 national and Wyoming-wide celebrations of the founding of the United States is a central focal point of this year’s Humanities Summit to demonstrate “Humanities in Action” then, but also emphasizing an awareness of now as we forge the future of humanities through interdisciplinary relationships all across UW, our state, and the nation.

🚨 WIHR is excited to announce the 2026 Humanities Summit, “Humanities in Action 250,” Thursday, March 26 – Friday, March 27! 🚨

This event will bring scholars, educators, advocates and students together to celebrate America’s 250th birthday, a focal point of the summit. In addition, the event will emphasize the future of the humanities through interdisciplinary relationships across UW, the state, and nation. Guest speakers will discuss topics ranging from history to classical literature, as well as innovative strategies for advancing the humanities and shaping the future of education and research in this field.

We encourage you to join us and help us spread the word. This summit is free and open to the public.
