As May comes to a close, just a friendly reminder that May is Mental Health Awareness month. In the transition between classes, jobs, moving, travel, graduation, summer courses or catching up and reconnecting with people it can be thrilling, but can also be exhausting, unpredictable and overwhelming for a lot of us. Remember to prioritize your physical and mental wellness by taking time to rest and check in to assess how you're feeling and processing your emotions. We are still here for you over the summer so please continue to utilize resources such as TimelyCare or seek assistance from The Aggie Health and Wellness Center. Last week we had the pleasure of traveling to the National Restaurant Association Show in Chicago with eight of our students. In collaboration with NMDA, they participated with their exhibitors and learned about all areas of the industry and experienced a new, exciting city! It was a wonderful trip and we are so grateful that we can provide travel opportunities annually to our students.

Our final honoree of the Spring 2026 graduates is Faith Pearson. Faith is graduating as a Crimson Scholar, with Honors, a member of the Eta Sigma Delta Honor Society and is the recipient of the Dean's Award of Excellence award for HRTM. Faith has been an employee of HRTM since her freshman year with the Marriott Hospitality Futures Center and then served as a lab aide for Westside Bistro. Congratulations on all you've accomplished!

We now have some of our student award honorees. Celebrate with us as we congratulate Santiago Griego, graduating as a Crimson Scholar, an Eta Sigma Delta Honor Society Member, with Honors and as the recipient of the HRTM Outstanding Student Award. Santi has served as a student lab aide for multiple semesters and will confront his education into a Masters Program as well as gain additional experience working in Albuquerque. Congratulations!!!
