Two guest artists, violinist Yunjung Lee and cellist D**g Yeol Hong, will be performing beautiful piano trio works in collaboration with Dr. Jung-Won Shin, Assistant Professor of Piano at NMSU, at the NMSU Atkinson Recital Hall this Friday, April 24, 2026, at 7:00 P.M. Dr. Lee and Dr. Hong will also present string master classes for NMSU students at the Choir Room (103) in the NMSU music building on the same day starting at 1:00 P.M. The above events are free and open to the public.

We are excited to welcome guest saxophonist Wesley Taylor for a recital with Dr. Yoshiko Arahata this evening at 7:30pm, Atkinson Recital Hall. He has given a wonderful master class session and worked with the NMSU saxophone studio earlier this week. The program will feature works iconic standards and modern works for saxophone and piano by Michat, Creston, Beach, Piazzolla, and Zupko.
