🏆 Today, the University of Nevada, Las Vegas chapter, the Theta Sigma of Kappa Alpha Psi® Fraternity, Inc. was recognized as the Citizens of the Month by the City Council of Las Vegas.

The Theta Sigma Chapter was honored with an official proclamation from the city for 50 years of dedication to uplifting and mentoring youth in their communities. Their many efforts include promoting positive lifestyle choices, extensive community involvement, encouraging college preparedness, and distributing over $100,000 in scholarship funds to students throughout Las Vegas.

The Mayor and the Las Vegas City Council have declared June 3rd 2026 “Theta Sigma Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Day.” The proclamation was warmly received by Brother Claiborne Ford, a spring 2024 initiate of the Theta Sigma Chapter.

Join us in congratulating Theta Sigma on this remarkable achievement as they continue to make a profound impact on the Las Vegas community. May their commitment to the objectives of Kappa Alpha Psi inspire future generations to strive for academic success and community leadership!
