Scholar Spotlight: Kaitlyn Hedge
Kaitlyn is a third year Elementary Education major graduating in Spring 2028. She’s passionate about creating a safe and supportive classroom where students feel seen, valued, and able to thrive.

Her journey at UNLV and changing majors helped her realize the importance of pursuing a career that truly makes her happy. Kaitlyn hopes to make a positive impact by becoming a caring and dedicated teacher in her community.

Scholar Spotlight: Sheamarie Dela Cruz
Sheamarie is a first year Neuroscience major graduating in 2028. She’s fascinated by learning about the brain and how it helps explain human behavior and learning.

Her journey at UNLV has connected her with valuable resources and opportunities to deepen her understanding of neurological processes. She hopes her studies in neuroscience will help bring greater understanding to psychological behaviors and reduce uncertainty surrounding mental processes.
