This course will introduce students to Geographical Information Systems (GIS) fundamentals, focusing on social sciences and humanities applications. Students will learn to use GIS software (ESRIΒ΄s ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Online) to display, analyze, and communicate spatial information. The Department of Anthropology at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) invites applications for a one-year visiting assistant professor position in Cultural Anthropology for the academic year 2024-2025. We are seeking dedicated candidates who are committed to delivering high-quality undergraduate courses at UNLV.

This appointment carries a 4/4 teaching load, and will include instructing courses such as "Introduction to Cultural Anthropology," "Magic, Witchcraft, and Religion," and "Signifying Identities." Salary is $49,140. The successful candidate will commence their role on July 1, 2024, and must hold a PhD by that date.

We welcome applications from candidates specializing in all areas within cultural anthropology.
