The Graduate and Professional Student Association serves all currently enrolled University of Nevada, Las Vegas graduate and professional students.

The GPSA is comprised of the elected Executive Board, Council, standing committees, & the Manager/Advisor. Mission Statement

The Graduate & Professional Student Association (GPSA) of the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, shall promote and represent the interests of graduate and professional students at UNLV. The Association shall assist graduate and professional students with support for their aca

demic endeavors. Providing an environment conducive to student scholarship and research is the primary goal of the GPSA. In addition, the GPSA strives to engender a sense of community among the graduate and professional students by furnishing financial support and fellowship. The Graduate & Professional Student Association serves all currently enrolled University of Nevada, Las Vegas graduate and professional students. Graduate Student Commons

The Graduate Commons is an exclusive study space for UNLV graduate and professional students and is maintained by the Graduate & Professional Student Association. The commons is located in the Lied Library - Room 2141 (second floor). The Graduate Commons features a variety of services including a computer lab equipped with a variety of PCs and MAC computers, a copier, multi-feed flatbed scanners, color laser printer, office supplies, whiteboards, a small kitchen area, and more. A small conference room is also available for meetings and study groups on a reservation basis.

In this executive-level role, you’ll promote GPSA events and services, manage messaging across platforms, and make sure student voices are heard.

Congratulations to Jennifer Tidwell and Aryah Certain for wining the presidents innovation challenge.

Jennifer was the only graduate student participant and was a GPSA representative. They received a total of $50,000 toward their volunteer app.

The 2025 - 2026 candidacy filing period is one now. till March 18, 2025, 11:59 PM. Candidates will be announced on March 24, 2025. Please refer to the Elections Rules on the gpsa website for more information

Gain hands-on experience managing budgets, policy-making, advocating for students, and being involved in university decisions that affect you.
Networking - Work closely with university administrators, faculty, and student leaders across campus.
Determine how GPSA funding is allocated and spent, including research and travel grants.

Your vote helps shape the future of graduate student government! Hear from candidates during the April GPSA Council Meeting on April 3, 2025, and cast your ballot from April 3-9, 2025.

Voting begins Thursday, April 3, 2025, at 7:00 p.m. and concludes Wednesday, April 9, 2025, at 5:00 p.m.
Cast your ballots online through the UNLV Involvement Center. Voters will be asked to login using their ACE account.
