πŸ“œ Today, September 17, we celebrate Constitution Day and Citizenship Day!

239 years ago today, the United States Constitution was signed in 1787. It begins with three simple but powerful words: β€œWe the People.”These words are a timeless reminder that our democracy thrives on an informed, active, and engaged citizenry.

It relies on people who are willing to learn, listen, ask tough questions, and show up for their communities. As a college, Luna plays a vital role in this mission. We are dedicated to fostering a space for continuous learning, encouraging thoughtful dialogue, and building a deeper understanding of our shared rights and responsibilities.

πŸ’¬ What do the words β€œWe the People” mean to you today?Take a moment to reflect on our history, celebrate our shared civic journey, and consider how you can make a positive impact in your community.

πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ LUNA COMMUNITY COLLEGE WILL BE CLOSED MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 7, FOR LABOR DAY.

We recognize the workers who keep our communities moving β€” the skilled tradespeople, educators, healthcare workers, technicians, farmers, business owners, public servants, and countless others whose hard work strengthens northeastern New Mexico.

At Luna, we’re proud to play a part in preparing the next generation of workers and skilled professionals. From welding and automotive technology to nursing, construction, business, and more, our programs help students build the knowledge and skills they need to enter the workforce and contribute to their communities.

This Labor Day, we celebrate the value of hard work and the people who make a difference every day. Thank you to the workers who build, serve, teach, care, create, and keep our communities going.

Have a safe and happy Labor Day! πŸ’™
