Happy the end of finals and the start of holidays, NSMH! Our officer board wishes you a safe and warm winter break & hope to see you next semester. This week will be the last hotel introduction of 2020, and we will show you the St. Regis Aspen Resort.

----St. Regis Aspen Resort, Colorado, USA ----

Have you been dreaming of spending a white Christmas in the mountains? This resort is located in the mountains of Aspen, Colorado, and is one of traveler’s favorites! Its location is not only close to the Aspen airport, but also accessible to local activities such as dog sledding, snowboarding, hot air ballooning, rafting, and many more. Moreover, this resort celebrates the St. Regis legacy by having a Champagne Sabering tradition and live music events.

Fun fact: John Jacob Aster IV built the first St. Regis in New York in 1904.

Now introducing to you THE Bacchanal Buffet right here in Las Vegas!

Bacchanal Buffet has been voted as the best buffet in Las Vegas by “USA Today” and offers hundreds of choices daily. Different from most buffets, Bacchanal provides delicious food such as red velvet pancakes, ramen, udon, pho, green applewood smoked wagyu, and more! The buffet is inside of Caesars Palace, where you also enjoy the Forum Shops as well as spend a night at the hotel! When you step outside of Caesars Palace at night, you can see the beautiful lights on the Las Vegas Strip and truly experience the views!

Have you ever been to a waterfall? If you have, have you tried soaking your feet in the running water while enjoying some delicious food? The Labassin Waterfall Restaurant lets you do exactly that! Today, we are going to explore this unique restaurant with you!

---- Labassin Waterfall Restaurant, Philippines ----

The Labassin Waterfall Restaurant is located 2.5 hours away from the capital of the Philippines, Manila. It is surrounded by a forest with different types of birds and a waterfall. Guests get to enjoy local music as well as performances while soaking their feet in the water. The food, such as the traditional Filipino buffet lunch, is served on bamboo tables. Since the restaurant is a part of the Villa Escudero Plantations and Resort, guests can also visit the private museum and go bamboo rafting!! 🎋

Fun fact: The Labassin is actually not a natural waterfall. It is a runoff from the Labassin Dam. However, the experience is nothing less than that of a real waterfall! ✨

Did you know that there are over 15 million restaurants in the world? Today, we are going to introduce to you Europe’s FIRST underwater restaurant, designed by the architecture company Snoehetta.

---- Under, Norway----

“Under” means “wonder” in Norwegian, and the restaurant aims to provide its guests a journey into the unknown. When the guests enter, they would go down an eighty-meter flight of stairs, which leads them to the dining area where gigantic transparent windows show them the ocean. The restaurant uses ingredients directly from the ocean: shells, sea rocket, lobsters, crabs, and many more! One interesting find is that there is a one set menu created for all guests priced at KR 2,250, which is about $257.

---- KHOS, Langfang----

KHOS is a brand new concept introduced by the Rosewood Hotel Group with its first location in Langfang, China. Guests get to enjoy local street food and freshly brewed tea, host meetings with 450 attendees, and receive free newspapers as well as printing services daily. The hotel is positioned in downtown Langfang, thus business travelers and local residents are able to explore and collaborate.

Happy Monday! Last but not least, we will end officer introductions with Marielle! Marielle is a sophomore studying Hospitality Management here at UNLV. She is from Mexico City and loves to travel, hang out with friends, and go out for food & drinks. Her goals for the future are to travel all around the world, become a great leader in the industry, and move to a different country after graduation! ✈️
