The 2027 application cycle of the new President’s Public Purpose Grant Program is now complete.

The partnerships represented by this year’s applications demonstrate strong alignment with the Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching’s definition of academic community engagement, as well as a deep commitment to creating meaningful impact across our university and Nevada communities.

Six teams of volunteer reviewers representing UNLV students, staff, faculty, and executive leadership carefully evaluated each application. While many exceptional partnerships were represented, reviewers were limited to the number of grants available in each category.

Service Saturday is here❤️

Our team had a great time volunteering alongside UNLV Athletics and the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department Office of Community Engagement to distribute handmade beds for families in need through and organization called Sleep in Heavenly Peace. This amazing organization is dedicated to ensuring that no child sleeps on the floor, and we are proud to support their mission!

This is UNLV’s third year of this incredible partnership, and we’re excited to have hosted the largest bed build event in the Las Vegas Valley back in April!
