It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved sister, Camryn Rae Resnick.
Cammy began her SigDelt journey as a freshman, helping Beta Chi recolonize at The University of Kansas. Her energy and positive spirit launched her into a number of leadership roles, serving on committees and advisory groups, most notably her exceptional work done as the Vice President of Social Affairs on the chapter Executive Board. She made a point to act as a leader and positive role model to her sisters, encouraging others to put themselves out there, try new things, and not take life too seriously. She helped coordinate a number of events, from volleyball, to sisterhood events, to date dashes and formals, including a semi-formal at The College Basketball Hall of Fame (the coolest!! venue!! ever!!).
She may have held the record for most SigDelt tees, and knew how to make anyone who walked into the room feel welcome. She exemplified everything a Beta Chi woman should be, living a life full of light, laughter, and love. Cammy graduated in May 2020 with a degree Applied Behavioral Science with a speciality in Youth Development and Juvenile Justice, with minors in Psychology and Journalism. Following graduation, she moved to Denver, CO to work as a Behavioral Therapist and continue to spread joy to those around her.
Sisters remember Cammy as truly one of a kind, and an example of what Sigma Delta Tau stands for - one hope of many people. As we grieve, we remember the many ways Cammy touched our sisterhood.
She was the comic relief we all needed, the personality that we all craved, and the compassion that touched us all. Her kindness was infectious, making an impact on every person she came in contact with. Cammy would be there for you no matter if you talked everyday or once a year. Her Neshoma shined brighter than the sun. We’ll miss how she always made everyone she met feel loved and supported through every obstacle in life.
The world didn’t deserve Cammy Resnick, but we were so lucky to have her in our lives.
May her memory be a blessing. Rest In Peace, sister. 💙💛💙
