Last month, our junior Business Jayhawks, Avery Oppermann and Maddie Meyer were recognized with the 2026 Tradition of Excellence Award for their academic excellence and meaningful transformation across the university.

Recipients of this award receive a $1,000 scholarship and a $200 donation on their behalf to a KU Endowment fund of their choice.

Congratulations to Trambak Banerjee, assistant professor of business analytics, information & operations, for receiving the International Enhancement Travel Grant.

As one of the 31 faculty members awarded funding, he will travel to India to support a collaborative and interdisciplinary research program on customer satisfaction analytics for online Asian food delivery platforms and replicability analysis for a large-scale genetic association study.

A student idea became a campus dining option.

As part of their Business Leadership Program project, KU business students worked with KU Memorial Unions and KU Recreation Services to help open Shake Smart at the Ambler Student Recreation Fitness Center, which opened last semester.
