With temperatures nearing 100 today, we wouldn’t mind seeing the ice cream cart back on campus. 🍦☀️

Last week, President Dobbins stepped behind the cart for one of McKendree’s sweetest annual traditions, serving frozen treats and catching up with students between classes.

Who else could use a scoop right about now? 💜🐾

The boxes are unpacked, classes are underway, and campus feels like home again. 💜🐾

Before the semester began, the McKendree community came together on Move-In Day to welcome Bearcats and their families — hauling boxes, answering questions, and helping students settle in.

Thank you to everyone who helped start the year with the kind of welcome that makes McKendree feel like home.

One week ago, the Class of 2030 officially began its McKendree journey at Opening Convocation. 💜🐾

Each new Bearcat signed the Matricula — a longstanding university tradition that marks the beginning of a student’s academic journey and preserves their place in McKendree history.

Convocation marks the beginning. Commencement will one day mark the end. We can’t wait to see everything the Class of 2030 accomplishes in between.

This incoming class marks several milestones for McKendree:
• Second-largest incoming class in university history
• Most geographically diverse class, representing 73 countries, territories, and states
• Fifth consecutive year of enrollment growth for McKendree

📣 McKendree University welcomed U.S. Representative Mike Bost (IL-12) to campus on August 11.

Rep. Bost met with Board of Trustees Chair George Obernagel, President Dan Dobbins, and members of the university’s Cabinet to discuss grant opportunities, McKendree's new agribusiness major, and our educational paraprofessional program. The visit also included a tour of the newly renovated Voigt Science Hall.

We appreciate Rep. Bost’s visit and his continued interest in McKendree and our students. 💜🐾
