Today our PN students had a special guest from Encompass Rehab join us for hands-on learning focused on safe mobility and patient transfers!

There’s a BIG difference between reading about transfers in a textbook and actually practicing the techniques that keep both our patients AND our nurses safe. 🙌

We are so thankful to the Encompass Rehab team for sharing their expertise, tips, and real-world experience with our future nurses! 💙

🩺 Skills Lab is getting REAL! 🩺
This is day 2 of NPN 106 and nursing students are already
trading the textbooks for gloves and got hands-on with sterile gloving and foley catheter insertion! 🧤💉

There may have been a few “DON’T TOUCH THAT…you broke sterile field!” moments 😂, but that’s what practice is for!

Learning to protect the sterile field, maintain patient safety, and build confidence one skill at a time. 💙

So proud of these future nurses for jumping in, learning from mistakes, and getting those hands-on skills down! 👏🩺

Meeting with my first Technical Mathematics (MAT116) class at the ECTC Leitchfield Campus! These students will be among the first to study technical programming in our newly constructed building during the second bi-term, preparing for high-demand careers in our region. I feel honored to have the opportunity to work with them as they build a strong academic foundation for their future careers.
