Uptown at Bucknell

Uptown at Bucknell Uptown is THE official entertainment venue of Bucknell University!! Registers, dance parties, game tournaments, movie nights and more! All free; all fun!!

The idea for a different social space on campus was thought of in 1995. Through brainstorming, research, and time, what was first referred to as the Swartz Social Space, Uptown was born. The student board of Managers was a group of Bucknell students selected to aid in the creation of Uptown. Uptown is a culmination of various ideas and the needs of both the student body and administration. Uptown

was christened by the first band night with Jimmie's Chicken Shack on January 22, 2000. Since then, Uptown has grown and changed over the last few years to adapt to some of the ideas proposed by the student body. Uptown will be forever changing and adapting which will make it a place to come to because of the diversity it allows for. Uptown has hosted artists such as Dispatch, Nine Days, SR-71, Good Charlotte, Sum 41. DJ Skribble, O.A.R., Lucky Bouys Confusion, Howie Day, Hot Rod Circuit, Fall Out Boy, Granian, The Clarks, Pat McGee Band, Phantom Planet, OKGO, Superdrag, and dozens more.
