Bucknell’s Panhellenic Council and Interfraternity Council are deeply saddened and disappointed by the actions that recently occurred at our home. Bucknell is not a place for racism and such behaviors and attitudes are intolerable within our community. The foundation of a liberal arts university must be open and welcoming dialogue where tolerance and acceptance is not only preached, but also practiced. As members of Greek-letter organizations at Bucknell, we stand together for leadership, service, scholarship, and brotherhood/sisterhood. Now is the time, more than ever, to continue to commit to these values and take meaningful actions to change our campus culture. We must stand together as students, Greek-letter affiliated or not, to denounce all forms of discrimination and to work towards creating a better Bucknell.
