Kappa Alpha Theta Legacy Policy Update:
From Theta HQ "Today, we share with you that, effective immediately, Kappa Alpha Theta has eliminated all preferential treatment given to legacies during the recruitment process. We acknowledge that many women are not legacies because their mothers, sisters, grandmothers, and great-grandmothers simply did not have the same access to higher education or the means to join Kappa Alpha Theta. By eliminating preferential treatment for legacies, Theta ensures that PNMs are not receiving additional credit for things beyond their control, such as hometown, race, family connections, etc."

In Kappa Alpha Theta, women find an inclusive, supportive, empowering community in which we push one another to be the finest versions of ourselves.

Together, the Sororities at Bucknell University condemn the acts of violence, hatred, racism, and injustice towards Black communities and individuals. We cannot and will not stay silent. Therefore we are raising money to benefit NAACP Legal Defense & Education Fund Inc. (LDF) which supports racial justice through advocacy, litigation, and education.

As you all know, Bucknell switched to remote classes for the remainder of the semester, in light of COVID-19. We were terribly sad to be ending the semester prematurely and leave our sisters, but we cannot wait to reunite with our sisters (hopefully) next fall!
