Yesterday, many colleges and universities across the country experienced a widespread outage affecting Canvas. The issue originated with Canvas/Instructure systems and was not specific to our institution. Services have since been restored, and we appreciate everyone’s patience while the issue was being resolved.

We know interruptions like this can be frustrating—especially when coursework, grading, or deadlines are involved. If you need information on how to adjust due dates or reset quiz attempts, please contact your Instructional Designer at eLearning Services for assistance.

Thank you for your patience while Canvas took a very unscheduled coffee break.

Canvas is currently down. Instructure (the parent company of Canvas) is aware of the issue and is working to restore service as quickly as possible.

Despite the cheerful “scheduled maintenance” message currently appearing when trying to access Canvas, this outage was not planned maintenance. We’ll share updates as more information becomes available.

Please note some changes to Testing Center hours near the holiday closure.

Read on for updates on open hours for the Testing Center as finals week and Spring '26 semester approaches.

We will be open on Saturday, December 6th from 9am-12pm to accommodate extra testers during finals week.

The Testing Center will be closed to all appointments Monday, December 22nd and Tuesday, December 23rd due to maintenance inside the Library Building.
