We will be planning several annual events including our spring Keeneland tailgate, our summer picnic with Toppers on Tour and in the fall we will have game watching parties and will volunteer for Race for a Cure.

Three WKU alumni will be recognized for their service to WKU and the community at the Hilltopper Excellence Awards during Homecoming 2026. Dixie C. Mahurin ('62, '67) will receive the Distinguished Medal of WKU Service, and George K. Fant III ('15) and Chastity D. Fant ('15) will receive the Distinguished Medal of Community and Public Service. The Hilltopper Excellence Awards, presented by Franklin Bank & Trust, will be held on Thursday, Nov. 12 and include the induction of the 35th class of noted alumni as well as additional recognitions for alumni and supporters of WKU.

From July 1, 2025, to June 30, 2026, Western Kentucky University raised more than $29.8 million in philanthropic support. The total was reached through 10,162 donors who made 27,377 gifts to 776 different funds. Through philanthropic support, 2,844 WKU students received more than $5.2 million in scholarship awards.
