Meet your Lewis Liaison, Caroline Harper! She joined the Lewis Honors College (LHC) because she wanted a smaller, supportive community that offered opportunities for connection and intellectual growth. The Honors College has given her many opportunities within UK. She has met amazing students and leaders who have assisted her with classes and networking, while also encouraging her to put herself out there and find new clubs to better her engagement at school. She has made connections that continue to push her to be a better student and leader.

What Caroline appreciates most about the LHC is the endless support. Every time she goes to the Honors building, she sees new events that she can participate in. As a Lewis Liaison, Caroline hopes to make an impact by providing a safe space for students. She knows college can be very stressful, so she believes it is important to have people to connect and talk with to decompress. She hopes to connect with many students and encourage growth and healthy student habits.

In her free time, Caroline loves hiking, hanging out with friends, and reading. Her favorite Honors memory is meeting her best friend and future roommate at LHC orientation. They were in the same Lewis Launch group, and having that connection made her feel less intimidated about starting college. Finally, her advice to incoming students is to try new things. Coming to such a big school can be very intimidating, and the only way to find a community is to meet new people through classes, dorms, and clubs. Luckily, the Honors College is a great way to do that!
