It’s always exciting to see what our Jewell Nursing grads are up to after finishing the program!! 🩺🥳 Congratulations Brianna

Please join us in welcoming our newest faculty member, Brianna Dagraedt, DNP, CRNA! 💙❤️

Dr. Dagraedt joined KU Medical Center’s Department of Nurse Anesthesia Education as a clinical assistant professor in August 2026. She brings experience as both a CRNA and a cardiac intensive care nurse at The University of Kansas Health System.

She earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice from the University of Missouri–Kansas City and her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from William Jewell College. She also holds bachelor’s degrees in biology and health science from the University of Missouri.

We are excited to welcome Dr. Dagraedt to our faculty and look forward to the knowledge and experience she will share with our students. Welcome to the team!

🦸‍♀️✨ Wonder Women in STEM ✨🦸‍♀️
Five of our Jewell Nursing students joined for the Wonder Women in STEM event, sharing what nursing school is really like with middle schoolers who are curious about STEM careers. 🩺🔬

From hands-on activities to meeting SAM, our simulation manikin 🫀🫁, these future scientists, engineers, and nurses got a glimpse of how science saves lives every day. 💪

We can't wait to see where their curiosity takes them! 🚀 Thank you to Liberty Public Schools for letting us be part of such an empowering day. ❤️🖤

The Jewell Nursing program is distinguished by six hallmarks that characterize the values of the department and outcomes for graduates. Faculty, staff, and students are given the opportunity to nominate students for a Hallmark Award when they go above and beyond in any of the 6 hallmarks. Today we recognized two students with Hallmark Awards!

Congratulations to our newest ABSN scholarship recipients! 🩺💚🎉

The Research Foundation recently awarded scholarships to accelerated Bachelor of Science in Nursing (ABSN) students at Research College of Nursing, Avila University School of Nursing, and William Jewell College Department of Nursing.

ABSN programs provide students with an accelerated pathway to earning their BSN in as little as one year or 16 months. We’re proud to support these future nurses as they pursue their nursing education and prepare to make a difference in the lives of patients throughout our community. 👏
