Mahalo to everyone who came out to the Hurricane Lowell resource pop-up and a special mahalo to Domino's Pizza for donating pizza, and Honolulu Community College and Kapiʻolani Community College for sending counselors to support our studentsʻ mental health journeys during this time of recovery. And, of course, a big mahalo to our community partners and for coming out to work with our students, faculty, and staff.

Those who receive SNAP benefits on Kauaʻi will receive an automatic replacement equal to 60% of their regular monthly SNAP benefit due to food loss from Hurricane Lowell.
These replacement benefits will be available from September 17.

If you lost more than this amount, you can provide a written statement.

Students, faculty, and staff: if you need assistance with this, please come to the library tomorrow, Wed. Sept. 24, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. for our recovery resource pop-up.

Current SNAP recipients on Kauaʻi will receive an automatic replacement equal to 60% of their regular monthly SNAP benefit due to food loss from Hurricane Lowell.

These replacement benefits will be available from September 17.

If you lost more food than the automatic replacement amount, you may request additional replacement benefits by submitting a signed written statement.

Be sure to report the total estimated value of food lost, not just the amount above the 60% replacement.
