📣 TAPP researchers are keeping family-school partnerships in the national conversation!

This week, Amanda Witte of the Nebraska Center for Research on Children, Youth, Families and Schools joined Kim Hale and Pam Mims, both of East Tennessee State University, at the Tennessee Department of Education's Access Conference in Chattanooga. They shared insights on Tele-TAPP and the benefits of family-school partnerships for all.

Last week, school principals Angela Gatti and Helen Peart traveled from Tasmania to the Nebraska Center for Research on Children, Youth, Families and Schools (University of Nebraska-Lincoln) to complete TAPP training. We’re grateful for the opportunity to learn from one another and strengthen connections between families and schools.

🌏 From Tasmania to Nebraska!

School principals Angela Gatti and Helen Peart visited CYFS this week to learn about family-school partnerships and complete TAPP - Teachers & Parents as Partners intervention training.

We’re honored to welcome educators from around the world to the University of Nebraska-Lincoln to learn, connect and share ideas that strengthen partnerships between families and schools.

Dr. Villiger leads the "Family–Education–School” research program at the University of Teacher Education in Bern, Switzerland (Pädagogische Hochschule PHBern). During her visit to the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, she will study the Teachers and Parents as Partners intervention.

We look forward to gaining insights from her work in Switzerland, as well as sharing what we've learned works best to support school-age children in the U.S. who are struggling with a variety of behavioral, social and academic challenges.
