Centered on the theme “Emerging Research Shaping the Built Environment,” this year’s Future of the Building Industry Workshop welcomed 31 FoBI Fellows and brought together researchers, faculty, and early-career professionals to share their work, exchange ideas, and explore the challenges and opportunities shaping our industry. 🔬🎤

From inspiring research presentations to meaningful conversations and new connections 🤝, reminded us just how exciting the future of the building industry can be.

A huge THANK YOU to our Fellows, presenters, faculty, attendees, and everyone who helped make this year’s workshop possible! ❤️

It’s and we’re taking a trip down memory lane to one of our favorite moments from the spring Semester as we prepare to welcome you all back! 🍂➡️🍁

Here are snippets from our class project, when we had the pleasure of welcoming students from Raymond Central Elementary School to the job site behind Kiewit Hall. It was incredible to watch our students mentor these , introducing them to the world of Construction and sparking curiosity about engineering and the built environment. 👷‍♀️👷‍♂️✨

Experiences like these remind us that today’s students have the power to inspire tomorrow’s innovators, and who knows, we may have met a few future Durham School students that day! 🌟

Thank you to everyone who joined us at the Tiburon Golf Course July for the 24th Annual Durham School Don Wrieth Memorial Tradition of Excellence Golf Tournament! 🏌️‍♂️🏌️‍♀️

What an amazing two days! 🙌
We were thrilled to welcome 33 incredible teachers from across Nebraska and the United States to The Durham School for two days of hands-on learning, collaboration, and behind-the-scenes industry experiences. 👩‍🏫👨‍🏫

A HUGE thank you to for the exclusive HVAC facility tour, and to and JE Dunn Construction for taking our teachers behind the scenes at the Mutual of Omaha Tower construction site! 🏢🔨
