Nebraska LEAD Program has selected 29 agricultural leaders from across the state as Fellows of Class 45. Beginning in September, they’ll take part in a two-year experience featuring in-state seminars and national and international study opportunities.

For 45 years, the program continues to bring Fellows from diverse agricultural backgrounds to learn from one another, build relationships and prepare for the challenges and opportunities facing Nebraska agriculture.

The University of Nebraska-Lincoln and ALA Engineering are bringing autonomous “smart feeding” technology to the Klostermann Feedlot Innovation Center at ENREEC near Mead.

The partnership uses autonomous feed trucks as a real-world research and education platform to improve efficiency, address workforce challenges, and prepare students for the future of agriculture. The technology also helps producers evaluate innovations that could transform feedlot operations.
