Gaston College Cosmetology, Esthetics & Manicuring The Cosmetology, Esthetics and Manicuring programs are located on the Lincoln Campus of Gaston College in the Cochrane Science and Technology Building.

All programs offer services to the public. Please see page for more details. The cosmetology curriculum is designed to provide competency-based knowledge, scientific/artistic principles, and hands-on fundamentals associated with the cosmetology industry. The curriculum provides a simulated salon environment which enables students to develop manipulative skills. Course work includes instruction in all phases of professional imaging, hair design, chemical processes, skin care, nail care, multi-cultural practices, business/computer principles, product knowledge, and other selected topics. Graduates should qualify to sit for the State Board of Cosmetic Arts examination. Upon successfully passing the State Board exam, graduates will be issued a license. Employment is available in beauty salons and related businesses.

On September 23, 2026, Gaston College Esthetics students had the opportunity to participate in a live Lash & Brow Tint demonstration, gaining valuable insight into one of today's most popular beauty services! 👁️💖

Students observed professional techniques, learned proper application procedures, and explored how lash and brow tinting can enhance a client's natural beauty while creating a polished, low-maintenance look.

Experiences like these help prepare our students for success in the beauty industry by combining classroom knowledge with real-world demonstrations and hands-on learning.
