The summer symposium will provide a venue to celebrate the achievements of undergraduates pursuing research projects at colleges and universities across Arkansas. This all-day event will be held at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences campus in the I. Dodd Wilson building on Wednesday, July 29, 2026. Undergraduate researchers will present short talks and posters covering a broad range of disciplines including biology, chemistry, physics, engineering, and computational sciences.
The hosts for the event are the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, Graduate School at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences, and the Center for Molecular Interactions in Cancer as well as the NIH–supported INBRE program. Lunch and refreshments will be provided at the symposium at no cost to participants. The conference was such a success last year that we worked hard to bring it back this year and expand the invitation to other undergraduate research programs.

Registration will open on June 24, 2026, and close on July 13, 2026.
