Workforce and Community Programs at Arapahoe Community College Welcome to Workforce and Community Programs at ACC. We offer hundreds of non-credit courses to serve In the 90s, non-credit online classes became available.

Use us as your community hub for all things lifelong learning! We offer classroom and online classes in Career Focus, Computers, Photography, Painting, Artistic Welding, Blacksmithing, Drawing, Needle Arts, Woodcarving, GED Preparation, Health and Fitness, Home and Garden, Language, Music, Personal Development, Personal Finance, Recreation & Travel, Writing, and our Youth College. We also have a c

omprehensive Summer School Program available to any school! Arapahoe Community College has a rich tradition of providing non-credit courses and programs to its constituents dating back to its beginnings in the winter of 1967 when 25 students were enrolled in two classes. The first director of community services was appointed in the fall of 1969 when 115 students were enrolled in 10 classes. In the 70s, Community Education developed courses for children through the College for Kids and Teens Program. In the early 80s, programs were developed to meet the needs of older adults. Fast track professional development programs for business and industry became very popular as did the rapid expansion of computer training classes. In the last decade, the Youth College Program developed in cooperation with Littleton Public School District. The Hudson Gardens & Event Center and the Community Education Program development a partnership whereby gardening and art classes were held at the gardens. Language, art, finance, health and wellness and computer classes continue to grow in popularity. With campuses in Littleton, Parker, and Castle Rock, Community Education serves 5 to 6,000 students annually. Community Education has most recently taken on a marketing initiative which will launch a social media presence. This campaign will include access to a How-To video series from some of our most popular classes. General Information
