Success in motion!

Meet Joe! He is a graduate of the Aggies Elevated program and he stopped by this afternoon to take the pledge to Refrain Rethink and Rephrase.

Joe has an associates degree in applied science and is working to turn that into a bachelor's degree in technology systems and advanced manufacturing. He says the various mentors in the program helped him develop good study habits that helped him with tests and exams through his classes. We are proud to have great students and ambassadors of our program. Inclusion breeds success!

The R-Word has a very painful history. It started as a neutral medical term, but quickly turned into a way to mistreat and demean those with intellectual disabilities. The R-word has been removed from language in laws and documents, so why would we continue the use of a word that causes pain? Refrain, Rethink, Rephrase. Spread the word to end the word. Take the pledge! Copy and paste into your browser https://www.spreadtheword.global/pledge or click the link in our bio.

For the next week, Aggies Elevated will be teaming up with and for its national campaign to Spread the word to End the word. We are challenging everyone across USU’s campuses to Refrain, Rethink, and Rephrase to combat the use of the R-word. Everyone deserves to be respected and included, and the first step is through our language. Join in and take the pledge! We are excited to announce that applications for the 2026-2027 school year are now open!

If students have a diploma but require academic support or accommodation, we would be happy to help them access the appropriate services. They may also be eligible to enroll in selected Eagles Elevated coursework.
