The 2027 transfer application is now open!

By continuing your education at Southern Miss Gulf Park, you can maximize your transfer credits and apply them toward a variety of degrees. Plus, students transferring from MGCCC or PRCC into select programs may be eligible for the Coastal Pathways Scholarship, a $5,000 annual award.

Congratulations to the 16 new Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) graduates who were recently honored at the Southern Miss Gulf Park pinning ceremony!

Fourteen students completed the accelerated BSN pathway, which allows students who already have a bachelor's degree in another field to pursue a nursing profession in as little as 12 months. Two working registered nurses earned their degrees through the fully online RN-BSN pathway, enabling them to advance their education while continuing their nursing careers.

Through rigorous training and clinical experience, these graduates are ready to elevate patient care across the Mississippi Gulf Coast and beyond.

As we kick off the first week of classes, students have been enjoying Southern Miss Gulf Park Welcome Week!

They heard from President Paul, met fellow Golden Eagles, learned about ways to get involved in student organizations, enjoyed free food and sunshine, and much more.

We can't wait to see what the rest of the semester will bring!

Through the Gulf Blue Navigator accelerator, Southern Miss is helping marine technology startup companies from around the globe to scale and grow along the Mississippi Gulf Coast. The program continues to strengthen our region’s Blue Economy and position Mississippi as a leader in blue technology and innovation.

Our Golden Eagles go beyond the classroom and into the world of ocean innovation.

As the only team from Mississippi competing at the 2026 RoboSub Competition, students from our School of Computing Sciences and Computer Engineering and the School of Ocean Science and Engineering designed, built, and tested an autonomous underwater vehicle alongside teams from around the world. In the team's first year competing, they advanced all the way to the semifinals.
