CSULB Chinese Culture Festival The 2016 Chinese Culture Festival will take place from October 24-28, 2016 and will focus on Chinese through a variety of cultural and artistic exchanges.

California State University, Long Beach (CSULB) is proud to once again host the 2016 Chinese Culture Festival from Monday, October 24 through Friday, October 28. This year’s free, week-long series of events will focus on traditional Chinese art and music. Presented in collaboration with International Daily News, a Chinese-language newspaper published in Southern California, the festival aims to improve understanding between China and the U.S.

Come to the Alamitos Bay Room in the USU (next to the Long Beach Ballroom) from 11:30-1:30 today for the Closing Ceremony of the 2013 Chinese Food and Culture Festival! We will be showing episodes of A Bite of China and announcing winners of the Marketing Plan contest and A Bite of China drawing!

Master Chef Martin Yan will be demonstrating authentic Chinese food preparation in the USU Courtyard starting at noon today! You can also see on-site Chinese brush painting, paper sculpture, and paper cutting by local artists in the Alamitos Bay Room (near the Long Beach Ballrooms) in the USU.

The Opening Ceremony begins today at 4:30 pm at the Beach Auditorium! Please join us for performances of Bian-Lian (face-changing) and traditional Chinese music. We are looking forward to seeing you there. (Please note that tickets for the banquet are sold out.)

Please note that tickets for the banquet on Monday are sold out. But please join us at the Opening Ceremony on Monday at 4:30 at the Beach Auditorium, where you can see a Bian-Lian (face-changing) performance, hear traditional Chinese music, and experience teapot juggling!
