CSULB Supplemental Instruction Supplemental Instruction (SI) supports CSULB students enrolled in historically difficult gateway courses by providing weekly study sessions.

Here at SI, we often refer our students to Academic Coaching. Located right here in The Learning Center, Academic Coaching can serve as the perfect complement to taking an SI course. While SI can help reinforce concepts on specific topics, Academic Coaching can help with mindset and study skill development.
