On June 12, 1967, the Supreme Court issued a historic and unanimous ruling in Loving v. Virginia, declaring state bans on in*******al marriage unconstitutional. Mildred and Richard Loving's bravery and determination led to a landmark victory for civil rights, paving the way for families across the country and future generations to marry freely, regardless of race.
Today, LBCC honors their legacy and the freedom they fought for.
