What an incredible success our first-ever CSULB ASSW Holiday Mixer, hosted by the Association of Social Work Students (ASSW), truly was.
We were honored to bring together social work students, faculty, families, friends, and even pets for an afternoon centered on connection, joy, and community. From raffles and arts and crafts to food, music, karaoke, and meaningful collaborations, the Outpost Lawn was filled with warmth and positive energy.
This event would not have been possible without the dedication and collaboration of our ASSW subcommittees. A heartfelt thank you to Radical Hope, Lobby Days, and the Latinx Student Social Work Network for your leadership, creativity, and commitment to building inclusive and supportive spaces for students.
We also extend our sincere gratitude to the College of Health and Human Services for their support and to everyone who attended and helped make this gathering so special. Events like this remind us of the power of community and collaboration within social work.
We look forward to creating more moments like this together.
