A first-generation transfer from Cerritos College to earning her Ph.D., Elyzza’s journey is truly inspiring! 💛

Global Fest is being postponed until the spring as we prepare for an expanded celebration of our university community during the upcoming Presidential Investiture. The Investiture will provide a special opportunity to showcase the academic excellence, cultures, traditions, and global perspectives that make our campus so vibrant.

Rescheduling Global Fest will allow us to build on the excitement surrounding President Blanchard’s Investiture and give our community the opportunity to experience the full breadth of these celebrations. We look forward to announcing the spring date soon and bringing our community together for an even more meaningful Global Fest.

For this , we’re proud to recognize Rashad Captan ’10, ’12, ’22, a triple alum who has spent more than a decade teaching students at The Beach.🏫

As a CSULB College of Business lecturer, Rashad draws on his expertise in public speaking, persuasion and interpersonal communication to help students build skills they can carry into their careers. Beyond the classroom, he is also a communicator and mediator who has consulted with individuals, businesses and municipalities.

From student to educator, Rashad continues to make an impact at The Beach and beyond.
