Chancellor Emerita Judy Miner joined Foothill College this week to celebrate the opening of its newly renovated STEM Welcome Center with a ribbon-cutting ceremony.

Made possible through a gift from the estate of the late Dr. William J. Rutter, a renowned biochemist and champion of STEM education, this space will serve as a hub where STEM students can study and find community.

Thank you to everyone who joined us in celebrating this exciting investment in STEM education at Foothill College .

It's critical that everyone has access to fresh food, and that is especially true for our young learners 🥗🍏

On Wednesday, D3 policy aide Daniel joined the team from Foothill-De Anza Community Colleges Foundation for food service for Foothill College students. Prepared by World Food Movement earlier in the day at their Milpitas facility, the team's goal is to serve 150 meals to any student on campus every Monday and Wednesday.

This food service and effort is exemplary of the schools' commitment to ensuring academic success by taking care of their students' most basic needs.

Many thanks to Dennis Cima, Simon Pennington, and Rekha Prodduturi for providing the tour, and giving us a chance to take part!

A big shout-out to the Cupertino Rotary for their incredible, ongoing scholarship support for our De Anza College students!

Last week, this year's student recipients were officially recognized at the Rotary's weekly meeting. Thanks to the club’s generosity, 11 scholarships totaling just over $30,000 were awarded to hard-working students.

These funds are supporting students across the board—from those pursuing vital workforce careers like automotive technology and nursing, to those preparing to transfer to four-year universities. Chancellor Lee Lambert was also present to offer his congratulations to the students.

Thank you, Cupertino Rotary, for investing in our students' futures and strengthening our community!
