The Department of Radiology at the Keck School of Medicine of USC is seeking an exceptional Physician Assistant (Associate) or Nurse Practitioner to join our Division of Interventional Radiology in a full-time capacity.

This role offers the opportunity to support the full spectrum of IR procedures, including image-guided interventions such as paracentesis and thoracentesis, while contributing to patient care at our premier clinical sites:
-Keck Hospital of USC
-USC Norris Comprehensive Cancer Center
-USC Arcadia Hospital

The successful candidate will work closely with our radiology team, providing essential support in clinical care, patient management, and the education of trainees.

Congratulations to Hossein Jadvar, MD, PhD, a Professor of Radiology, Urology, Radiation Oncology and Biomedical Engineering at the Keck School of medicine and USC Norris member, on serving as an invited keynote speaker at the Advanced Nuclear Medicine and Theranostics in Oncology conference, sponsored by the World Federation of Nuclear Medicine and Biology (WFNMB) and the Office of the Prime Minister of Mongolia.

Held in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, the conference brought together experts from around the world to discuss the latest advances in nuclear medicine and cancer care. During the meeting, Jadvar delivered three lectures highlighting innovations in theranostics and its growing role in advancing precision oncology.

We're proud to celebrate this international recognition and the continued leadership of our faculty in advancing cancer research and patient care around the globe.

USC radiologist appointed to ESMO Radioligand Therapy Task Force

Hossein Jadvar, MD, PhD, MPH, MBA, MSL, professor of radiology, urology, radiation oncology and biomedical engineering at the Keck School of Medicine of USC, has been invited by the ESMO - European Society for Medical Oncology (ESMO) Executive Board to serve on its new Task Force on Radioligand Therapy Integration in Oncology. This international group of theranostics experts will develop a white paper and related guidance to advance the integration and optimal use of radioligand therapy in cancer care, including recommendations on education, evidence gaps and health system readiness. Dr. Jadvar’s two-year mandate runs through 2027 and will help inform future clinical practice and policy in this rapidly evolving area of oncology.

Getting a mammogram can feel intimidating if you don’t know what to expect, but the process is quick, routine, and an important part of breast cancer screening.

At your appointment, a technologist will guide you through the exam and position your breast on the imaging machine to capture clear images. You may feel some pressure or discomfort for a few seconds while the images are taken, but the screening usually only lasts about 20 minutes.

Before your appointment, avoid wearing deodorant, lotion, or powders on your chest or underarms, as these can affect the images. Wearing a two-piece outfit can also make the appointment more convenient.

Our breast imaging program combines multimodality screening and diagnostic tools, including 3D mammography and MRI, across four locations to provide personalized care from fellowship-trained subspecialists.

Most importantly, mammograms can help detect breast cancer early, often before symptoms appear. Early detection saves lives. Talk with your doctor about when you should begin routine screening.

USC has named Joshua A. Hirsch, MD, as the new Chair of the Department of Radiology at the Keck School of Medicine of USC, effective August 17, 2026.

A neurointerventional radiologist who spent his career at Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard Medical School, Hirsch brings 650+ peer-reviewed publications and a proven record of leading interdisciplinary radiology programs. He has served as president of three major national societies, including the American Society of Neuroradiology (ASNR). His leadership will advance imaging research, clinical excellence, and faculty development at USC.
