One of the unrecognized skills our greatest actors have is to live in the moment and to allow themselves to be affected by it. When that happens that moment has meaning and that influences the entire story. Acting is called the invisible art… just because you don’t see the technique doesn’t mean it’s not there.

Aren’t we actors lucky this man was born on this day, 121 years ago? Today we celebrate a man who completely transformed the craft of Acting from performance and indication to behaving, truthfully under imaginary circumstances. But even beyond changing the craft of Acting, he taught us a way to be present, and to work from our Hearts. Thank you, Mr. Meisner.
