🎉 .ite triumphed at the Southern California ITE Student Traffic Bowl at the end of October, taking home the championship for the third time since 2017. The competition at Cal Poly Pomona brought together five student chapters (UC Irvine, CalState Fullerton, CalState Long Beach, CalPoly Pomona, USC) across two high energy semifinals and a nail-biter final round. Students Andrew Keefer, Tyler Milliren, and Trevor Wong powered through every question and clinched the win. Huge congratulations to the team! 🏆

Yesterday we celebrated our exceptional USC CEE student services advisors before they move on to a new chapter in their lives. We shared our heartfelt thanks for the friendships we've made over the years, fun memories of department escapades, and abundance of laughter that rang through our offices. Many tears were shed as farewells and hugs came from our faculty, students, and staff. Geraldine Perry, Maral Poladian, Emily Millard, and Christine Hsieh have all made such an impact in our lives, and they are much loved by the USC CEE family. We will miss you all! ❤️

USC CEE was proud to host the USC CMAA 30th Annual Emami Symposium this month, led by CMAA's dedicated Symposium Co-Chairs, Millanna Cienna Biller and Jason Vasques. As Viterbi’s largest student-run networking event, the symposium brought students and industry leaders together for an evening of networking with more than 20 companies in attendance.

Speakers from the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA), Skidmore, Owings & Merrill (SOM), Clark Construction Group, and Aurora Development shared valuable insights on the new Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA) Geffen Galleries, highlighting the vision and design behind this landmark project. We appreciate the time and expertise they brought to our community.

The symposium also recognized academic excellence by awarding $40,000 in scholarships to outstanding CMAA members, bringing total scholarships awarded to more than 1 million dollars.

Thank you to the company representatives who attended our symposium, as well as our students, whose hard work makes this event possible. We are especially grateful to our faculty advisor Hank Koffman, our faculty, and Jonathan Emami for their leadership and support in making this year’s symposium exceptional.

Special thanks to Colin Mangham, Daniel Druhora and Trina Gregory for taking time out of their busy schedules to be our judges for the evening. Shoutout to our students Mitchell Kirby and Ava Bergan who spent endless hours planning and making this event happen.

🏆 Please join us in congratulating our three winning teams:

2nd Place: Orca
3rd Place: Circuit Prior

The Design Day & Buildathon may be over, but the larger Das Family Student Competition is just starting! Sign up to join the competition at link in bio!
