In honor of Women’s History Month, we’re spotlighting incredible women across our Concorde community. Meet Kat Hagg, who reflects on the women who challenged norms before her and strives to build spaces where others can rise through partnership and support. 🤝💙

Q: “What does Women's History Month mean to you personally, and how do you honor it?”

A: “Women’s History Month reminds me that progress is built by women who challenge norms and create space for others to rise. I’m inspired by the courage and resilience of Puerto Rican and Hispanic women who have paved the way, shaping my commitment to community and to lifting others as I grow. I carry that forward by leading through partnership and intentionally creating space for others. I’m inspired by women leaders who lead with both empathy and strength, showing that you don’t have to choose between results and people. My greatest accomplishment has been building a career where I can influence decisions and drive meaningful change while reinforcing that same belief every day.”

In honor of Women’s History Month, we’re spotlighting incredible women across our Concorde community. Meet Nancy Jones — she honors WHM by uplifting others through mentorship and service, while celebrating the personal and professional accomplishments that have shaped her journey, including becoming the first Black woman elected as a school trustee in Irving ISD.

Q: “What accomplishment has empowered you the most?”

A: “While I can't take credit, my proudest accomplishment that I feel empowered to share are my sons and my grandchildren. Mothering is a hard job with no real instructions. You do the best you can and I am blessed. Professionally, my work at Concorde has been an accomplishment. I have worked with great mentors and associates who continue to be my teachers. Helping to change someone's life empowers me each and every day. Another accomplishment I am proud of is that I was the first Black Woman elected as a school trustee in Irving ISD.”

In celebration of Women’s History Month, we’re highlighting the voices of women who inspire our Concorde community. Meet Jacquie Spihlmann, who reflects on the hard‑working women who shaped her values and how she strives to support and uplift others in meaningful, everyday ways.

Q: “Who is a woman who has inspired you in your personal or professional journey and why?”

A: “I have been inspired by the women in my life—my grandmothers, aunts, sisters, and my mom. We all come from a rural farm community where hard work, resilience, and commitment to others are simply a way of life. They taught me the value of showing up, doing what needs to be done, and taking pride in your work, even when it's difficult or goes unnoticed.”

In celebration of Women’s History Month, we’re recognizing women who make a lasting impact at Concorde. Meet Jen Spurlin, who honors WHM by lifting other women through mentorship, advocacy, and intentional leadership.

Q: “What does Women's History Month mean to you personally, and how do you honor it?”

A: “Women’s History Month is a reminder that progress is not accidental. It exists because generations of women pushed forward, often in environments that were not designed for them to succeed. Personally, it is a time for reflection and accountability. Reflection on the women who cleared a path before me, and accountability to make sure I am actively clearing a path for those coming next. I honor it by being intentional about lifting other women. I look for leadership potential in the women I work alongside and ask how I can support their growth. Sometimes that support is mentorship, sometimes it is advocacy in rooms they are not in yet, and sometimes it is simply reminding them that they are ready before they believe it themselves. I also try to normalize conversations about juggling career and family, risk taking, and ambition so younger women see leadership as accessible, not exceptional.”

In celebration of Women’s History Month, we’re highlighting the voices of women who inspire our Concorde community. Meet Malini Patel, who honors WHM by learning from the women in her family and recognizing how their experiences shaped her own path.

Q: “What does Women's History Month mean to you personally, and how do you honor it?”

A: “I honor Women’s History Month by sitting down with the women in my own family and listening to their stories, learning what they overcame, and noticing the differences from one generation to the next. Their experiences remind me how far we’ve come and how much their strength has shaped who I am. My mom inspires me every day because even though she grew up in a time when the world placed limits on women, she raised me to believe in independence, ambition, and possibility.”
